About this test
Calculate the Los Angeles abrasion loss from the mass before the test and the mass retained on the 1.70 mm sieve after 500 revolutions.
How it's calculated
- Loss (%) = (original mass − mass retained on 1.70 mm) ÷ original mass × 100
- ≤ 50% general concrete (ASTM C33); ≤ 40% base & wearing courses
Results are calculated from the values you enter using standard formulas. Download the PDF to keep a record. For certified testing, design or construction, talk to our engineers.
