About this test
Check whether your sand or crush meets ASTM C33. Enter the masses retained; the sheet gives percent passing, fineness modulus and the grading curve against the specification envelope.
How it's calculated
- FM = Σ cumulative % retained on 0.15–75 mm standard sieves ÷ 100
- Sand for concrete: FM 2.3–3.1 (ASTM C33)
